GREY JOYNER
Interior design began as the most natural kinetic pull in my life. It was never anything that I looked for, but it found me just the same. This is what I was born to do.
My motto, both in design and in life is to be you not like anyone else but to find and be your true self! I feel like design can be a growing experience for a client to reach in and pull out their true artistic side, and to help them step out of their comfort zones a little. When this happens, a true piece of art shines through not only for the room but for them internally, and that is a true work of art!
Color is like oxygen - it breaths life into a space and I like to use color in unexpected ways. I love to incorporate old with new - using your family heirlooms and treasures alongside new pieces that create interest and expresses the client’s true self.
My goal is not to make your home look like anyone else’s home - but to make it look like YOUR home. Your personality and your style should shine through, not anyone else’s.
I live with my husband Worth, my boys, David Worth and Batten, and our dogs Scout (a Golden) and Wrigley (a Cavalier King Charles). I grew up on a horse farm, (we had goats once and cows and all sorts of dogs as my dad is a veterinarian), where my parents instilled in me that with hard work and determination you can do anything and that if there’s a job that needs to be done then you need to do it. I now live in a 100 year old house on 5 acres in Wilson, NC. If I’m not working, you will find me at my sons’ baseball games, in my garden, fishing or boating - our family loves to be outdoors!
